Anmeldung
Anmeldung is the official registration of your residential address in Germany. It is usually one of the first bureaucracy steps after moving into a new apartment or room.

Who Needs This

- Move to Germany for the first time
- Move to a new city
- Change your address within the same city
- Need documents for banking, work, residence permit, or other official processes
Common Documents

- Visa or residence permit, if applicable
- Completed registration form
- Wohnungsgeberbestätigung from your landlord or housing provider
- Marriage or birth certificates if registering family members, where required

- Book an appointment if your city requires one.

After Anmeldung
